Since the founding of Alpha Omicron Pi, service has been instilled as an integral part of our sisterhood. Alpha Omicron Pi is a sisterhood that truly gives back. In 1967, the sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi named American Juvenile Arthritis Organization and Research and the Arthritis Foundation as our organization's philanthropy. We chose this cause since so many women and children are affected by it.

Our Sigma Beta Chapter looks forward to the events we hold that give back to our community and support our cause of the Arthritis Foundation. In the fall, AOII organizes the Strike Out Arthritis Kick Ball Tournament at Saint Joseph's University in order to spread awareness with fun for the community. In the winter, our sisters participate and fund-raise for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis. In the spring, we look forward to our Sisters for Soldiers event, where we encourage donating items to our deployed troops.

Sigma Beta makes philanthropy a large part of our sisterhood because it's what helps our sisters to exceed the expectation.
